The Endowment’s sponsorship program is designed to strengthen community connections and broaden awareness of initiatives that align with our mission. Through sponsorships we can support a wider array of community institutions, cultural assets, and grassroots efforts that extend our reach, elevate local impact, and reinforce our commitment to serving New Hanover County.
Sponsorships provide a flexible, visible, and meaningful way to engage with the community, support the overall health and vibrancy of our county, and build authentic relationships across sectors without redirecting our strategic grantmaking focus.
Sponsorships are intended to support community organizations and efforts that align with our mission to serve all residents of New Hanover County.
Sponsorships are distinct from grants. To ensure consistent community presence throughout the year, sponsorship funds are managed and deployed on a quarterly basis.
The Endowment does not sponsor political events or partisan efforts. We generally do not support galas, expos, or similar events unless there is a clear, demonstrated alignment with our core priorities.
Sponsorship requests can be submitted by the organizations themselves via The Endowment website. (LINK - Coming Soon)
Sponsorships are awarded on a quarterly basis at The Endowment’s discretion. Every request is reviewed to ensure the opportunity aligns with our mission and optimizes our community presence. This structure allows us to respond to requests in a consistent and transparent way while upholding fiscal discipline.
All requests must include the event details, sponsorship levels, and a listing of the benefits associated with the sponsorship.
The maximum sponsorship amount for any program or event is $5,000, subject to available budgeted funds.
Organizations interested in sponsorship should contact the Vice President of External Affairs, Tyler Newman, at tnewman@theendowment.org. Please include the following details:
