Sponsorship Opportunities

The Endowment is committed to supporting initiatives that encourage community engagement and drive meaningful impact. Through sponsorships, we partner with organizations hosting events and programs that align with our mission, helping to amplify efforts that create lasting positive change. By investing in community-driven initiatives, we aim to strengthen connections, increase awareness, and support innovative solutions that enhance the well-being of New Hanover County. Sponsorships are awarded at The Endowment’s discretion.

Goals

Requests for sponsorship that align with the following goals, subject to available budgeted funds, will be prioritized:

Community Connection

Sponsored programs provide meaningful ways for The Endowment to support local events, initiatives, and organizations, building stronger ties with residents and stakeholders.

Increased Visibility

Sponsorship helps raise awareness of The Endowment’s mission and initiatives throughout the county, ensuring our efforts are widely recognized.

Alignment with Local Needs

We support projects that reflect our mission and commitment to addressing key priorities, including education, health, social equity, community safety, and economic development.

Building Partnerships

Sponsorship creates opportunities to collaborate with local businesses, nonprofits, and organizations, broadening The Endowment’s network and impact.

Advancing Positive Impact

We aim to support initiatives that address significant community challenges, such as poverty, education, public safety, or health disparities, contributing to real and measurable improvements.

Encouraging Additional Support

Sponsorship can inspire other funders and donors to contribute, increasing the overall investment in local projects and multiplying the benefits.

A formal sponsorship process ensures clarity in how funds are distributed, offering clear guidelines and criteria that enhance public confidence in The Endowment’s work.

By carefully selecting programs to support, The Endowment helps ensure that local organizations and initiatives can achieve lasting success and thrive well into the future.

Sponsorship Limit

The maximum sponsorship amount for any program or event is $10,000, subject to available budgeted funds.

Eligibility

Organizations seeking sponsorship must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a 501(c)(3) organization either based in or hosting an event in New Hanover County, North Carolina.
  • Be hosting or co-hosting the event.
  • Align the event or organization’s mission with The Endowment’s mission.
  • Ensure the event occurs at least 45 days after and no more than 12 months after applying for sponsorship.
  • Not have received another sponsorship from The Endowment (excluding grants) within the 12 months prior to the event date.

Application Process

Organizations interested in sponsorship should contact our Chief Marketing Officer, Jodi-Tatiana Charles, at jcharles@theendowment.org. Please include the following details:

  • Organization Name
  • Requester’s Name and Contact Information
  • Event or Program Description, Location, Date, and Time
  • Expected Number of Attendees or Participants
  • Sponsorship Levels and Packages
  • Deadline for Decision
  • Explanation of How Sponsorship Aligns with Our Mission
  • Additional Helpful Information and Links
