It provides flexible support to organizations working to strengthen New Hanover County and create meaningful change across The Endowment’s strategic pillars: Social & Health Equity, Education, Community Safety, Community Development.

2026 Community Grants Spring Cycle: In the first cycle of its annual Community Grants Program, The Endowment’s board approved 41 grants totaling $500,000 to nonprofit and community-serving organizations across New Hanover County. Learn more about the 41 grant recipients HERE.

When to Apply

  • Fall 2026: Applications Open: August 10, 2026
    Close: September 8, 11:59 p.m.

Who Can Apply

Tax-exempt organizations, such as:

  • • Nonprofits
  • • Public Charities
  • • Universities and Higher Education Institutions
  • • Public Agencies, including State, County,
  • and Local Government Departments

Each organization may submit one application per cycle.
