The Endowment’s Journey with Northside Food Cooperative and Growing Resilience
Over the past year, we have received many questions regarding The Endowment’s 2024 grant in support of the Northside Food Cooperative (NFC) and Growing Resilience and their efforts to bring food security to the Northside neighborhood, and we have taken care to respond to each one. Recently, additional questions have emerged, some prompted by the open dialogue during our June 3 public meeting. This week, we received a new question, and given the continued level of interest, and the complexity of the matter, we believe it would be helpful to bring everything together in one place.
To that end, we are sharing the comprehensive story of the full journey of this grant, integrating the information we have provided over time in response to questions, along with the broader context surrounding the grant, our relationship with NFC and Growing Resilience, and our partnership with the County.
We close with a response to the most recent question received, which brings all of these elements together. Our goal is to provide clarity and transparency, and foster a complete understanding of The Endowment’s involvement and the grant’s dynamic evolution.
