The Endowment’s Board of Directors is made up of 13 dedicated residents of New Hanover County who provide strategic oversight and governance for our work. Board members are appointed by the Novant Health Coastal Region Board, New Hanover County, and The Endowment, ensuring strong community representation.

Community Advisory Council
The 18-member Community Advisory Council (CAC) serves as a vital link between The Endowment and the New Hanover community. CAC members are appointed by the Endowment Board and serve three-year terms.

The CAC is made up of volunteers who bring experience from across education, health, public safety, social equity, and community development. Members provide insights on local needs, emerging challenges, and opportunities to help guide The Endowment’s work.

To be considered for a future appointment to the Community Advisory Council by the Endowment Board, online applications are available in the first quarter of each calendar year to fill available appointments for that year.
