Veterans Creative Arts Program

Currently, the only administrative position we have is a part time Executive Director. We would like to use the majority of these funds to pay a contract grant writer with the hopes of leveraging this grant to secure additional funding. Our contract grant writer will receive $15/hour and 5% of the amount awarded for any grants received. This will allow our Executive Director to focus more on strategic planning, data collection, impact measurement, and governance. As a newer organization, meeting our budget goals this year will be critical in continuing services to our Veterans and their families. With the addition of a grant writer, we will increase our financial sustainability and chances of securing additional funding to support our mission. A $5000 capacity grant for a VCAP contract grant writer will ultimately assist us in improving social and health equity in New Hanover County.
