The New Hanover Community Endowment (The Endowment) is committed to transparency and accountability by providing clear financial information, maintaining strict oversight of its operations, and publicly sharing tax returns and key financial results to demonstrate investment performance and payout policies, ensuring responsible stewardship and lasting community impact.

MEDIA and Brand RESOURCES

At The Endowment, we are committed to transparency and open communication with the media, partners, and our community. This section provides journalists, media professionals, and organizations with essential resources, including official logos, high-resolution photos, and key contacts for media inquiries and speaking engagements.

The Healing Place

The Healing Place of New Hanover County opened its doors in 2023. The facility has 200 beds for men and women to provide detox, long-term residential recovery services, and emergency shelter for those seeking help for addiction and/or homelessness.

About Us

The Endowment’s mission is to address the root challenges in community safety, community development, social and health equity, and education and to develop impactful solutions for every person in New Hanover County. The Endowment was established from the sale of the county-owned New Hanover Regional Medical Center to Novant Health in 2020. The initial fund was nearly $1.3 billion. Grants will be awarded each year in perpetuity. www.theendowment.org
