The New Hanover Community Endowment (The Endowment) is committed to transparency and accountability by providing clear financial information, maintaining strict oversight of its operations, and publicly sharing tax returns and key financial results to demonstrate investment performance and payout policies, ensuring responsible stewardship and lasting community impact.

MEDIA and Brand RESOURCES

At The Endowment, we are committed to transparency and open communication with the media, partners, and our community. This section provides journalists, media professionals, and organizations with essential resources, including official logos, high-resolution photos, and key contacts for media inquiries and speaking engagements.

Region O Council for the Advancement of Minorities in Engineering

Students are using robots purchased in 2017 and the robots are starting to show signs of aging. Some robots will no longer hold a charge long enough to complete a run through a maze created to challenge our student’s ability to program robots. Robots are rechargeable Bluetooth controlled devices. The IPADS used to program robots appear to still be functional. The robot replacement will allow students to develop skills needed to meet current technological requirements of successful STEM community contributors.

About Us

The Endowment’s mission is to address the root challenges in community safety, community development, social and health equity, and education and to develop impactful solutions for every person in New Hanover County. The Endowment was established from the sale of the county-owned New Hanover Regional Medical Center to Novant Health in 2020. The initial fund was nearly $1.3 billion. Grants will be awarded each year in perpetuity. www.theendowment.org
