2025: $240,000: To build a 1,300 sq. ft. warehouse annex, purchase a forklift, and construct a 16X20 walk-in cooler to increase NourishNC’s efficiency, storage, and purchasing across all programs.
2024: $1,165,574: To support the expansion of the Market on Market and the Mobile Market on Market for high-quality food access to children and families.
2023: $450,000: This grant supports NourishNC’s free mobile grocery truck called the Mobile MoM. It will initially focus on feeding children in food deserts, high-need neighborhoods, CEP schools, and hot spots identified by NourishNC’s partner network. Later, NourishNC will anchor the Mobile MoM at a New Hanover County Pre-K school for at least one year to end food insecurity at the school, and as a proof of concept to replicate at other schools.
2022: $105,000: The mission is to provide healthy food to hungry children, empowering them to succeed in the classroom and in their community. This grant will support the purchase and upfit of a vehicle and increased internal capacity to scale up client services.
