2024: $2,490,474: To help fund the first and only North Carolina-based American Red Cross Community Adaptation Program site, in New Hanover County, and strengthen the capability, capacity and continuity of local services for disaster preparedness, response and recovery.
2023: $38,000: This grant funding will allow American Red Cross of the Cape Fear Area of North Carolina to purchase a new community emergency vehicle to replace an older one in Wilmington. The new vehicle will be used to transport staff, volunteers, and equipment to and from mobile blood drives, bring collected blood to processing centers, test blood and deliver safe blood to patients in need.
2022: $170,735: The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. This grant will support the Sickle Cell Initiative.
