Zaiden Williams, a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern North Carolina and a 2025 NCACC Youth Voice Delegate, recently presented to the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners, sharing his experiences and the impact of the Club on his life.
A rising junior at Ashley High School, Zaiden has been with the Club for two years. An accomplished artist, he has painted murals in local offices and illustrated a book. He also attended Spark NC at UNCW, exploring various STEM fields and expanding his skills and interests beyond the arts.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern NC, a grantee of The Endowment, is dedicated to empowering youth by providing opportunities to build their skills, discover their passions, and achieve their goals. Through programs like this, Club members like Zaiden are developing leadership, creativity, and a sense of civic engagement, while contributing meaningfully to their community.
Zaiden’s presentation highlighted how the Club supports young people in exploring new experiences, honing talents, and preparing for bright futures, showcasing firsthand how local youth are shaping the community today and tomorrow.
