As Network Associate at The Endowment, Shannon supports grantmaking and program activities across all four pillars. She bridges administrative and programmatic functions through coordination, communication, and data management to ensure programs and partnerships run effectively. Shannon also manages the community grants program and guides grantee relations, planning, and internal learning efforts that advance The Endowment’s mission.
Since joining The Endowment in 2025, Shannon has strengthened operational efficiency by streamlining grant closeout processes, enhancing reporting systems, and building collaborative relationships with staff and community partners.
Her professional background blends nonprofit, academic, and environmental work, with experience at Eagles Island Nature Park, the UNCW Coastal and Estuarine Studies Lab, and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Across these roles, she led conservation research, community outreach, and public engagement initiatives that combined scientific rigor with real-world impact.
Shannon holds a dual
Master’s degree in Public Administration and Environmental Science from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She is passionate about advancing data-informed, community-focused solutions that strengthen connections between people, place, and purpose.
