Shannon Wick is a dedicated professional whose work bridges administration, programs, and community impact. As Network Associate at the New Hanover Community Endowment, she plays a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of programs and partnerships. In her role, Shannon provides coordination, communication, and documentation support; manages the Community Grants Program; and contributes to grantee relations, planning, data tracking, and internal learning initiatives.

Shannon began her tenure with The Endowment as a Grants Assistant, where she enhanced operational efficiency by streamlining grant closeout processes, improving reporting systems, and collaborating closely with staff and grantees to strengthen outcomes.

Her career blends nonprofit, academic, and environmental experience, having held roles with Eagles Island Nature Park, the UNCW Coastal and Estuarine Studies Lab, and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. In these positions, she led conservation research, educational programming, and public engagement initiatives—ranging from community festivals to scientific fieldwork and environmental reporting.

Shannon earned dual Master’s degrees in Public Administration and Environmental Science from UNC Wilmington. She is passionate about advancing data-driven, community-focused solutions and leveraging her experience in research, grant management, and collaboration to foster meaningful and lasting impact across New Hanover County.
