Our Common Grants provide funding for organizations whose work aligns with our mission, four pillars, strategic priorities.

Before applying, prospective applicants should:

• Review the Before You Apply resources and videos.
• Know our four pillars and read our Strategic Plan.
• Confirm they meet the eligibility requirements.
• Ensure their proposed project aligns with our funding priorities.

We welcome conversations with organizations interested in advancing work aligned with our mission. If your organization has an idea or initiative that may be a good fit, we encourage you to schedule a consultation with a Network Officer.

Following the consultation, organizations whose proposed work aligns with our funding priorities may be invited to submit a grant application.

The Community Grants Program provides flexible support to organizations working to strengthen New Hanover County and create meaningful change across The Endowment’s four pillars: Social & Health Equity, Education, Community Safety, Community Development.

Community Grants Program

The Endowment established a $2 million Emergency Recovery Grant Reserve to deliver fast, targeted support when disaster occurs. This program ensures dedicated funding is available to provide swift, flexible assistance for New Hanover County residents in the wake of major disruptions or crises.
