2022 Grant Recipient ($190,000): The YMCA of Southeastern NC is a non-profit association committed to a mission of putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. This grant will support the acquisition of vehicles and program scholarships.
2024 Grant Recipient ($4,000,000): This grant supports the YMCA’s expansion of its Midtown YMCA into a full-service facility to serve more preschool and elementary-aged students through childcare, swimming, and sports, and to offer additional exercise opportunities for youth and adults.
2024 Grant Recipient ($1,973,867): In partnership with others, the YMCA seeks funding to expand Schools in Pools, a program offering life-saving swim lessons to New Hanover County second graders, regardless of financial, social, or environmental barriers. The goal is to scale this program over three years, ensuring that by 2026, more than 2,000 second graders receive essential water-safety/ swim skills.
