Pastor Cedrick and Latoya Barrett founded Purpose Church in March of 2011. The Barrett’s are natives of Fayetteville, NC and are parents to 3 children, Daniel, Essence, and Josiah. Honesty and transparency are hard to come by but The Barrett’s commitment to live their lives this way makes their ministry genuine and impactful. They have a passion for people and helping them identify and walk in their purpose. They encourage practical biblical principles that empower people to live healthy and whole as they impact the world.
2025 Community Grant Recipient ($4,528): To support The Purpose Teen Camp, a two-week transformative educational program designed for students aged 10-16 who face behavioral and academic challenges.
2026 Community Grant Recipient ($10,000): To support the Purpose Youth and Teen Camp to reduce summer learning loss, strengthen emotional resilience, and increase clarity around future pathways by integrating academic enrichment with trauma-informed supports and applied learning.
