Holly S Sullivan is Amazon’s Vice President of Worldwide Economic Development, where she oversees a global team focused on creating jobs, building partnerships, and driving economic growth. She spearheaded the search for Amazon’s second headquarters in Arlington, VA, led the development of the company’s Operations Center of Excellence in Nashville, TN, and directed the expansion of 18 North American tech hubs. With over 20 years of experience in economic development, Holly has consistently delivered impactful projects that align corporate objectives with community needs.

Before joining Amazon, Holly served as President and CEO of the Montgomery Business Development Corporation in Maryland, where she drove business attraction and retention initiatives. Previously, she led economic development organizations in the Nashville region, further solidifying her reputation as a leader in regional growth strategies. Her contributions to the field earned her recognition as one of Washington, DC’s Most Powerful Real Estate Players by the Commercial Observer in 2020.

Holly also brings her expertise to numerous boards and advisory roles. She chairs the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry Board of Directors, serves on the Middle Tennessee Community Foundation, and is a member of the University of Tennessee Haslam School of Business Advisory Board.

In January 2025, Holly will begin her term on the Board of Directors for The Endowment, contributing her leadership and experience to support transformative regional initiatives. A Wilmington, NC, resident, she remains deeply committed to community growth, innovation, and opportunity through her work and volunteer service.
