Dr. Michael D. Priddy, a retired North Carolina public school superintendent, is a consultant with 21st Century Leadership, LLC. Over his distinguished career, he served as Superintendent of Pitt County Schools and Interim Superintendent for Guilford, Bertie, Pamlico, and Wayne County Schools. Dr. Priddy also held leadership roles as Chairman and Interim President/CEO of The Public School Forum of North Carolina.

His expertise lies in operations, finance, human resources, and technology—critical areas where improved efficiencies ensure more resources reach classrooms and schools. A dedicated advocate for collaboration, he enjoys working with school boards and county officials to identify shared priorities that benefit students and communities.

Dr. Priddy has received several honors, including The Old North State Award and The Order of the Long Leaf Pine, both awarded by North Carolina Governors in recognition of his exemplary contributions to education. Most recently, he was honored with the 2024 Distinguished Leadership Award from the UNC School of Education.

A lifelong learner and educator, Dr. Priddy earned three degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He resides in Wilmington, NC, with his wife, the Rev. Susanne D. Priddy, where they remain active in their community and continue to champion the transformative power of education.
