Chris Boney, a lifelong Wilmingtonian, has dedicated his career to shaping the built environment and enriching his community. After earning degrees from North Carolina State University and the University of Virginia, Chris returned to Wilmington in 1997 to join his family’s architecture firm. Now serving as Chief Relationships Officer for LS3P, he leads business development, community engagement, and leadership across the firm’s twelve southeastern offices. Specializing in large commercial and institutional projects, Chris’s work has garnered numerous local, state, and regional awards for design excellence and sustainable building practices. Signature projects include the Betty H. Cameron Women’s and Children’s Hospital at Novant Health, CFCC’s Wilson Center, Carolina Bay at Autumn Hall, and the Live Oak Bank corporate campus.
Chris’s commitment to his community extends beyond architecture. He has chaired the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce, the Battleship North Carolina Commission, and the Wilmington Planning Commission. Additionally, he has contributed his expertise to numerous nonprofit boards.
A passionate mentor and advocate for youth, Chris has served as a youth group counselor, “big brother,” and basketball coach, helping to guide and inspire the next generation. He is actively involved at First Presbyterian Church and cherishes time with his wife and three college age children. Chris’s work and volunteerism reflect his deep-rooted commitment to advancing the well-being of Wilmington and its people.
