Bailey Post serves as Executive Assistant to Sophie Dagenais, President and CEO of The Endowment, where she helps support the CEO’s effectiveness through thoughtful coordination, preparation, and follow-through.
With more than 14 years of experience in public service across North Carolina, Bailey brings a strong background in operations and community-focused work. Her career has included roles with the Public Defender’s Office, District Attorney’s Office, Clerk of Court, and emergency communications.
Before joining The Endowment, Bailey served as Executive Assistant to the Chief Public Defender for Defender District 15, across Bladen, Brunswick, and Columbus counties, where she helped establish office operations for a multi-county system serving approximately 250,000 residents. In that role, she developed workflows and policies, managed complex scheduling, coordinated with justice system partners, and supported data systems tracking thousands of cases.
Earlier in her career, Bailey supported felony case preparation and victim services in the District Attorney’s Office and directed a grant-funded Teen Court program focused on youth diversion and community-based solutions.
She began her public-service career as a Deputy Clerk of Court and 911 Telecommunicator, gaining firsthand experience in court operations, crisis response, and service to the community.
Bailey holds a B.A. in Criminology from UNC Wilmington and is a 2025 graduate of the Wilma Leadership Institute. She is known for her steady presence, thoughtful problem-solving, strong organizational skills, and commitment to serving the community.
