Marrio Jeter is a dedicated public servant and community advocate with over 24 years of experience in New Hanover County. Born in Charlotte, NC, Marrio attended North Carolina Central University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Administration.
Since moving to Wilmington after graduation, Marrio has devoted his career to public service, holding roles with the NC Department of Corrections, NC Department of Public Safety, and New Hanover County Schools. Currently, he serves as the Director of Operations for Communities In Schools of Cape Fear, where he is committed to empowering students to stay in school and achieve their full potential.
Marrio’s leadership and dedication are rooted in his deep connection to the community and his belief in the transformative power of education and mentorship. He takes pride in advancing positive outcomes for youth and ensuring they have access to the resources and support needed to succeed.
Marrio has been married to his college sweetheart, Angela Jeter of Wilmington, NC, for 23 years. Together, they are the proud parents of two wonderful children, Justus and Grayce.
